The Inspector General of Police John Kudalor is advising Ghanaians to desist from picking strange materials, such as ladies handbags from the floor since they could be explosives.

“I urge each one of us to be security conscious and report suspicious characters we see around to the security agencies for prompt action. We also hope to educate our children on public safety. If you see ladies purse; very beautiful like a handbag that is dropped on the road, don’t pick it, inform the Police.

"In other countries going through the scourge of terrorism, if they see even money on the ground, they don’t pick it because some of these things are triggers,” the speech read by the Director General of Operations of the Police service, COP Christian Tetteh Yohuno noted.

Cartoonist Makaveli takes the issue up.
