The ten regional chairmen of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) have asked former President John Dramani Mahama to lead the party to Election 2020.

The regional chairpersons who had a meeting with Mr Mahama on Thursday, 9 November in Accra the former president “to consider the request of teeming supporters of the NDC and Ghanaians to lead the party to the 2020 general elections.”

This was contained in a joint statement by the Regional Chairmen who urged Mr Mahama to quickly embark on a ‘Thank You Tour’ to acknowledge the support he received during his tenure and during the last elections which he lost.
