She is said to have passed on in the early hours of Friday.
 
Ewurama Badu has composed several hits songs including Komkom, Obaatan Refre Ne Mma, and Medofo adadaa me.
 
Her last public performance was at the 2013 edition of Citi FM's night of Music of Ghanaian Origin (MOGO), held at the National Theatre.

John Mahama praises Bastie, Bukom Banku for Saturday's bout

Former president John Dramani Mahama has praised Bastie Samir and Braimah Kamoko, popularly known as Bukom Banku, for putting up a great show at the Bukom Boxing Arena in a bout dubbed "Make or Break" on Saturday night.

In a Facebook post, the former president, in declaring the two fighters as winners, congratulated Bastie on his historic victory.

He further wished Bukom Banku, whom he described as a friend and brother, well in future challenges.

Bastie falls on Bukom Banku; ends Banku's unbeaten record

Samir Bastie has knocked out famed boxer, Bukom Banku in tonight's 'Make or Break'; ending the the latter's unbeaten record.

Banku who had vowed to defeat Samir in the cruiserweight non-title bout struggled to find his feet in the bout, suffering several hard punches that weakened him from the early rounds.

Samir Bastie knocked down Bukom Banku in the seventh round of the bout.

For the timely intervention of the military in the ring after the referee stopped the bout, there would have been a possible blood clash between fans of the two sides.

Until tonight's defeat, Bukom Banku bragged of being the African version of Floyd Mayweather; having a unbeaten record.
